“It’s been a while since we played them in the league, and I remember the day well when they thrashed us, but today was our day and the players deserve a great deal of credit. We are on a good run of form and today’s win moves us into second place which is fantastic.”
After a shaky first five minutes the visitors got on top and were ahead on ten minutes. Good lead up play between Mitch Crocker and Ben Rogers ended with a through ball to Liam Merigan, who rode two tackles before firing into the corner of the net past Jack Adams.
Sixty seconds later it was 2-0, Rogers again playing in Merigan, who finished clinically. The points were wrapped up ten minutes into the second half a poor back pass from Chris O’Donnell rolled into the unguarded net.
Next week Forrie are on the road again when they visit Burrendah Reserve to take on Canning City.
