On Monday it’s the Cool Ridge Cup Reserves Semi-Finals, and the Forrestfield boys will be playing NPL side Balcatta at Finance 365 Stadium, the home of Bayswater City (12.15pm)

Forrestfield moved through to the Semi-finals with a hard fought 1-0 win against Fremantle City with Dylan Eastough scoring the winner. Coach James Coffey said it was a good game and they had their keeper to thank for the win. “We went into the game knowing that this was going to be a battle with any side at this end of the competition, but we maintained our structure thought-out the game and created chances,” he said. “Fremantle certainly looked dangerous going forward at times and Ben Perry pulled off some great saves. The game was not only entertaining but was played fairly.”

Skipper Joshua Barnes and top goalscorer Ger Kler Moo will be important for Forrestfield, but Coffey said Monday’s game is one the whole squad is looking forward too, and “Our squad is young and enthusiastic and are willing to show the Forrestfield brand of football,” he said. “We will go into the game with full respect of the NPL side, but this will not change the structure or philosophy of our game, we will make sure Balcatta will have to earn there NPL status that day.”
