Match Report 25/05/19 V Morley-Windmills

It was back to business at the Game Guardian Stadium on Saturday as Forrestfield welcomed Morley-Windmills to town after 2 bye weeks in a row.

First on the menu was the Under 18’s who after a frustrating first half dominated the second half and ran out worthy 4-1 winners. Leon Rehl, Jake Fritchley, Wes Brown and Omar Hamdon getting a goal each.

Next up were the reserves, who are unbeaten in the league this term so far, and despite going down 1-0 to an early strike, rallied to over come their opponents 5-2 in an entertaining tie to remain second on the ladder and unbeaten. Scorers were Ishmael Graywood, Tanuj Sahni, Justin Ngeny (x2) and returning for his first appearance after leaving in the summer Luqman Sayyed.

Last but certainly not least were the first team. This was the first time in the season that Forrie had the opportunity to make it 3 wins from 3 on matchday – Just to add a little more pressure on the first team! It’s been well documented that we have been struggling with injuries and so it was a relief to see Josh Pereira and Mitch Crocker back in the squad – as well as welcoming new signing Nicolas Tatasciore who slotted straight into the starting 11. Forrie went in at the break 1-0 up from Daniel Corbett’s first goal of the season thanks to some exceptional play from Jordan Hart down the right. Unfortunately we lost Rhys Loxely and Ryan Francis to injury in what seems to be a reoccurring, frustrating theme of our season. In the second half we struggled to find the same rhythm and flow from the first half allowing Morley back into the game, however some great defending in the second half kept Morley at bay before Mitch Crocker thundered the ball home from 25 yards to make it 2-0 and relieve the tension that was building for the home supporters.

Next Weekend we travel to Mosmon Park to play Western Knights. Come along and support the forrie boys
